Lakeside FM

This page is by way of providing contact information for my low power FM radio station.
I called the station 'Lakeside FM' because Lakeside is where we live. Seemed to make sense at the time.
If you arrived here after hearing the address on the radio please do drop me an email at chris@trash.co.nz I'd love to hear from you.
If you randomly surfed here, sorry it's not that interesting!
In a nutshell the bit of legislation that controls Low Power FM broadcasting in New Zealand requires that stations broadcast contact information at least every three hours, so I have the jingle that says come to this website for that.
For the moment Lakeside FM is just a bit of an experiment, but if I can get enough coverage to get into Leeston and Southbridge from where we live I may put up a more detailed website for the radio station, and do some more interesting programming.
Lakeside FM is currently on 88.1, and is broadcasting in Mono using a borrowed transmitter which is a bit dodgy and an aerial which is way too close to the roof of the house and will probably come down in the first decent gust of wind!
Currently we play a 'general' playlist of what I'd call middle of the road music, ranging in genre from Rock and pop, a bit of jazz and some old school comedy stuff. Decade wise we're playing stuff from as far back as the 1940's right up to stuff released in the last few months.
At 8:30 pm every day of the week I'm runnng some old-time radio shows. Currently 'The Shadow' is gracing the air-waves, and I've got a pile of 'Flash' and murder mystery's from the 1940' and 50's that I'll sort out if things get going.
FYI. There is also 'Leeston FM' on 106.8 in Leeston, which is no relation to Lakeside FM appart from operating under the same regulations. They play a pretty good range of rock/pop with no program changes if you're just looking for some good music.
